Caersws Vintage Rally – Auction Guidance for Sellers and Buyers

 ALL SELLERS AND PROSPECTIVE BUYERS MUST REGISTER THEIR DETAILS WITH THE AUCTION OFFICE 

Prior to the Start of the Auction

No portable electrical equipment will be accepted for entry into the auction unless a valid PAT Certificate is attached.   All items are offered on the basis of being sold as seen and no liability for the condition or performance of the item will be accepted by Mid Wales Vintage Machinery Club Ltd or its representatives.

Guidance for Sellers 

Sellers may nominate a reserve price for any item at the time of entry.

Where an item is sold, the Seller shall be paid the hammer price less commission within 10 days of the event by bank transfer. To facilitate payment, the Seller must provide the Treasurer with their account name, account number, and sort code.

Where an item is unsold, the Seller must obtain a release ticket from the Auction Manager or Treasurer before removing the item from the field at the end of the event.

By registering as a Seller and entering an item into the auction, the Seller shall be deemed to have accepted these conditions.

Commission

Sellers commission will be deducted from the hammer price as follows:

Guidance for Buyers

A fee of £1.00 is payable by each Buyer in order to obtain a Buyer’s Number before the commencement of the auction. All bids must be made using the allocated Buyer’s Number, which must be presented to the Auctioneer immediately after the fall of the hammer, at which time the lot shall become the responsibility of the Buyer.

Buyers are required to settle the hammer price with the Treasurer within two hours of the conclusion of the auction. Payment may be made by credit card, debit card, or cash. In the case of higher-value purchases, payment by bank transfer may be accepted by prior agreement.

Upon receipt of full payment, the Buyer will be issued with a receipt/release note and may remove the purchased items from the site under the direction of the Auction Marshals. No item may be removed until payment has been made in full and a receipt/release note has been issued.

The Auctioneer’s decision in relation to the validity of any bid shall be final and binding.

Any sold or unsold items left on the auction site after the close of the event shall be treated as unwanted and may be removed or disposed of by Mid Wales Vintage Machinery Club Ltd.
