    Caersws Vintage Rally – Auction Guidance for Sellers and Buyers

     ALL SELLERS AND PROSPECTIVE BUYERS MUST REGISTER THEIR DETAILS WITH THE AUCTION OFFICE 

    PRIOR TO THE START OF THE AUCTION 

    No portable electrical equipment will be accepted for entry into the auction unless a valid PAT Certificate is attached. Individual tyres and wheels for road going vehicles cannot be accepted for auction. All items are offered on the basis of being sold as seen and no liability for the condition or performance of the item will be accepted by Mid Wales Vintage Machinery Club Ltd or its representatives. 

    Guidance for Sellers 

    • Sellers will pay a fee of £1.00 per seller to enter their lots in the Auction. 
    • Sellers may nominate a reserve price on their items at the time of entry. 
    • If the entered item is sold, sellers will be paid the hammer price less commission within 7 days of the event by Bank Transfer. The Seller must supply their account name, number and sort code to the Treasurer to ensure that the payout can be made. 
    • If an item is unsold then the seller must obtain a release ticket from the Auction Manager or Treasurer and then remove the item from the field at the end of the event. 
    • By registering as a Seller and entering an item into the Auction a Seller is deemed to have accepted the above conditions.

    Commission

    Sellers commission will be deducted from the hammer price as follows:

    Guidance for Buyers

    • Buyers will pay a fee of £1.00 to receive their Buyers Number prior to the start of the Auction. 
    • Buyers will bid on items using their allocated number which must be shown to the Auctioneer immediately following the fall of the hammer. The item becomes the responsibility of the Buyer immediately following the fall of the hammer. Following the end of the sale buyers are required to pay the hammer price to the Treasurer within two hours of the end of the auction. Payment may be made by Credit or Debit card, or cash. Buyers will then receive a receipt / release note and be able to remove the purchased items from the site under the direction of the Auction Marshalls. Buyers may not remove purchased items from the site until they have been paid for in full and a receipt / release note issued. 
    • The Auctioneers decision in respect of the validity of any bid will be binding. 
    • Any sold or unsold items remaining on the auction site after the end of the event will be assumed to be unwanted and disposed of by Mid Wales Vintage Machinery Club Ltd.
